What Does Wpc Floor Mean

The WPC refers to a wood plastic composite floor.

WPC uses polyethylene, polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride instead of common resin adhesives to mix with more than 50% of waste plant fibers such as wood flour, rice husk and straw to form new wood materials, and then produces plates or profiles through plastic processing processes such as extrusion, molding and injection molding. It is mainly used in building materials, furniture, logistics packaging and other industries. The WPC floor is a new kind of floor, which is made of high polymer materials. It is environmentally friendly and does not contain heavy metals and formaldehyde. It is close to the solid wood floor.

Wood plastic composites contain plastic and fiber. Therefore, they have processing properties similar to wood. They can be sawn, nailed and planed. It can be completed with woodworking tools, and the nail force is obviously superior to other synthetic materials. Mechanical properties are superior to wood. The nail force is generally three times that of wood and five times that of particle board. The wood plastic composite contains plastic, so it has a good elastic modulus. In addition, due to fiber inclusion and full mixing with plastic, it has the same physical and mechanical properties as hardwood, such as compression resistance, bending resistance, etc.

Disadvantages of wpc flooring

The cost is relatively high. wpc flooring is more expensive than ordinary plastic or wood plastic flooring, and the surface cannot be painted or painted. there are fewer patterns and colors to choose from. the adaptability of the house is poor, and it cannot adapt to various decoration styles, which has greater limitations.

Advantages of wpc flooring

It has good waterproof performance. It can be used not only indoors but also outdoors. It also has high environmental protection performance. It does not contain formaldehyde, has good wear resistance, is moisture-proof and anti-skid, and is not easy to be eaten and corroded by insects. It is more comfortable, has good sound absorption effect, and has real wood texture.
